They smell for methane gas, which is a byproduct of the wood the termites are eating.
If you are dealing with bedbugs, be wary. Bedbugs do not have to eat for a full year. All holes that are in floors and walls need to be closed. And bedbugs caught in these holes won’t be able to escape once they are sealed.
If there are cracks and crevices around your house, be sure they are sealed as quickly as possible. Often, pests use these little holes to get into your house. They won’t be able to come in if their entrance is blocked.
When considering new trees for your yard, pay attention to where you place them, keeping them away from your house. The trees provide a climbing spot for rodents, allowing them to have easy access to your roof. Make sure they are a minimum of 15 feet away from the house.
Mosquitoes can be eliminated by removing hospitable environments. Wherever water is simply standing, get rid of it. Mosquitoes are known to be in places with as little water as what is inside of a can of food.
If your camper is stored in the winter months, it may become home to mice. Many natural remedies can keep them out of your camper. Smaller bags of repellent can smell good and are non-toxic. They are quite effective in preventing mice from residing in your camper or RV.
Always take care to properly store edible items in airtight containers. Plastic and glass are usually the best types of containers to use. Just make sure they have lids that seal properly. Avoid using cardboard or paper bags to pack things as pests tend to be able to easily chew through these substances.
